In my earlier years of training, the bulk of my progress came from jumping from one generic 12-week program to the next, with no real long-term goal or direction. While I did see some improvement, I always found myself back at square one, with no motivation or accountability beyond just relying on myself.
After graduating from university and starting a career in personal training, I felt I had enough experience to start programming my own sessions. It didn't take long to realise how much of a difference consistent structure and clear purpose made, not just to my results, but to how much I actually enjoyed training.
I then carried this philosophy into my coaching; I felt I could provide more value to people by giving them the knowledge and understanding to train confidently on their own.
